What is the Prostate?
The Prostate is a walnut-size organ in a man's pelvis. Shaped somewhat like a miniature donut, it surrounds the opening of the bladder and the first portion of the urethra (the tube that empties urine from the bladder). The prostate gland produces much of the fluid that makes up semen, which serves to transport sperm during ejaculation.
